We must not expect ourselves (or others) to apprehend completely!

• If we are thus minded, God will reveal where we are 'otherwise minded' from our Bible reading and preaching of His words!

• That is why we not only should follow what he did, but his being - his manner of life!
• This is also why we are not to judge the brethren!
• Romans 14:10 - But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

• Nothing.
• To slight, to disregard or despise.
• Bad; worthless; of no value or account.
• Who are we to challenge someone else's attempt to follow Paul?
• or tease - or ignore - or doubt - or test, etc.

• Ephesians 3:20 - Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

• Spiritual - To Stablish our hearts unblameable in holiness
• I Thessalonians 3:10-13 - 10: Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith? Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

• We are actually designing their old nature.
• Someday, that old nature - old man must be replaced!
• New man!
• Ephesians 4:24 - And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
• Colossians 3:10 - And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

• ...but the music that we don't have a choice but to hear.
• We try not to listen to it, but we do still hear it!
• This music is everywhere - including IN our own home, even if not by choice!
• radio, tv, video, stores, elevators, hospitals, surgery rooms, airplanes, relatives, friends, streets, restaurants, etc.
• where ISN'T there music today?
• latest danger source is www.youtube.com
• many good short video clips
• lot of good sound and great music
• great education and source of edifying
• however, most background music is horrible
• creates the mood
• excitement
• scary
• non-Japheth sounds - electronic sound effects
• do you turn the bad stuff down/off?
• can't hear the crack of the bat, the crowd noise, the monster trucks roar, the explosions, the cries of pain
• lousy music accompanies most of that stuff
• do you think you can just ignore it?
• do you think it does not 'hurt' us in any manner?
• We don't choose this music!
• or do we?
• Are we just slothful and lethargic in this area?
• Proverbs 12:24 - The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
• Proverbs 21:25 - The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
• Music from our TV and video have prompted me to call them High Definition Hypocrites
• these new tv's being forced upon us will be hugely tempting
• great picture and fabulous sound playing horrible music!
• very expensive for now
• great time wasters
• evil communication that will corrupt good manners!
• the tool that is destroying morals in America!
• exhibit power over the watcher
• hypnotic
• addictive
• educational but usually from the wrong teacher
• destroy a good home education
• destroy family communication and relationships
• Sony commercial that says buying a DVD player will bring your family back together!
• idolatry
• rebellion - which is witchcraft
• covetousness - which is idolatry

• Ham
• loud, raucous, eliminates thinking - makes folks react, feeds the flesh!
• Shem
• subtle, quiet, mood controlling, mind altering.
• Combinations
• Ham with Japheth
• Shem with Japheth
• Seldom Ham and Shem!
• Remember, Genesis 9:25-27
• Neither one honours God
• yet only Ham and Shem being used in today's worship of their unknown God!

I.  Little Leaven leavens the whole lump!

• I Corinthians 5:6 - Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
• Look at what we allow today!
• We consider golden oldies calm, almost funny at times.
• Music history is proof - always been little by little (Japheth only)
• We get used to each level and then progress - then it went downhill and merged with Ham's style of 'music' with Woody Herman and Duke Ellington at Carnegie Hall, NYC.
• Plants HUGE seed into our kids!
• Numbs our children - already corrupts their hearing at an early age!
• Shameful for a parent to subject their kids 'by choice' to this music/noise.
• Just so they can hear the sounds and ignore the damage of the music.
• Don't we want to try to provide clean living as much as possible to our kids / wife!
•  I Timothy 2:2b - that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
• or do we just 'do our best' knowing it is practical anyway?
• "After all, they are going to hear it all eventually, anyway!"
