A Voice That Can Hurt to Hear

There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world,
and none of them is without signification
Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice,
I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian,
and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.
I Corinthians 14:10,11

There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world,
and none of them is without signification
Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice,

Not just the music that we choose to listen to...
...but the music that we don't have a choice but to hear.

We try not to listen to it, but we do still hear it!
This music is everywhere - including IN our own home, even if not by choice!

VII. Pleases the Devil

It is his world - for now, anyway.

He totally understands music - makes us the barbarians

II Corinthians 2:11 - Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
I Timothy 4:1,2 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Jude 16 - These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

This is getting closer and closer, as we get closer and closer to the tribulation - the setting of the book of Jude.
This verse seems to be already going on in some places - music 'artists' have more clout than most preachers.
It is the music and the Christian musical 'family' that brings folks to church, not the Book and what is preached from it!

He must laugh at Christians who make such public stands against him when they still play his music!

VIII. Gives glory, popularity and money support to those against God.

These folks are against God - and make do not hesitate to make it known!
They are against God, Jesus Christ (not 'Jesus') Jews; Paul; local 'church'; pastors who preach and speak of authority as well as by authority

Titus 2:15 - These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Movie stars - comedians - politicians - teachers - leaders - musical artists, etc.

from such turn away, have no company with - withdraw from, etc.

We can be bewitched as can our own children - all from the seeds we plant by not turning off this music - or just staying away from it!

Colossians 2:8 - Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

IX. God quits listening, why can't we?

Amos 5:21-23 - Take away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.
Amos 6:1,5 - Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, ... : That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David;
