The Love of God |
For to me to live is Christ...
Philippians 1:21
|
2) What the differences are between God's Love and man's love! 3) How we can understand and have an awareness of the criticism we receive! 4) What the true nature of God's Love is! 5) What the four basic reactions to God's Love are! 6) What happens to people who 'reject' God's Love! 7) What is God's Order in regards to His Love! 8) How the Devil is making God's Love become a 'hate crime' in the world! |
Today, God's Love has been rejected & outlawed in public AND private schools as well as in all levels of our government, whether it be locally, statewide or nationally. The LORD is no longer the God in America.
God's Love is even being rejected more and more in the general public right now and will soon be outlawed - made into a federal offense - a felony. We will someday be considered a criminal if we present God's Love.
It has already been rejected AND outlawed by many of our friends and in our families homes, amen? They don't want to hear it! They don't want you to 'preach at them'! They don't want to hear anything about 'the Bible'!
How much longer before God's Love is outlawed in our own homes?
One of my favorite quotes from the movie/video Sheffey is where Robert Sheffey, a circuit riding preacher in the late 1800's:
"God never forces His will on men.. He calls them unto Himself. If they will not follow Him, then they have to go their own way. The campground is done - not because you burned it, but because God's people didn't want it and God let them have their own way. Every time we give up a part of our faith, to try to fit into the ways of the world, we lose it forever. We lose a precious part of God's promise - sacrificed to the world! As it was called 'religion' in early America, the same as with God's Love, amen! We are handing it over - bit by bit - and soon, there will be nothing left. The world will never give it back...and someday, when the world tells us we can no longer have our religion, except where they say, and God is driven from our schools and our government, and our homes, then God's people can look back and know that our religion was not taken - it was given up - handed over - bit by bit - until there was nothing left."
And now, it's the Book!
We are handing it over - bit by bit - and soon, there will be nothing
left.
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Note: God is to be loved first! That is obvious. Now, remember that love is to include God the Father & God the Son. John 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. And if that King James is what it claims to be - the words of God spoken by Jesus Christ brought to us through and by the Holy Ghost - then we are to love that Living Book, too! So in practical daily life, THAT BIBLE SHOULD BE LOVED FIRST OF ALL!
Then comes thy neighbour?
NO! Note: we are to love thy neighbour AS THYSELF.
So, we must have 'our self' together before we work on our neighbour, amen?
We must know where our own ducks are before we concern ourselves with someone
else's row of ducks! Amen?
Note the great example in Mark 8:14-21 where the disciples just helped feed 4000 people, yet they forgot to feed themselves. Are they a great example of humility? NO! Stupidity! Carelessness! Jesus rebuked them strongly! Read it - it is a great lesson to learn!
So, in all reality and actuality, 'me-myself-I' comes before our neighbour regarding God's Love.
Simply put: If we don't love ourselves enough to make sure we have the Love of God, then we certainly won't care if our neighbour has the the Love of God or not.
Even more simply put: If we don't read the Bible ourselves and 'honestly' get something out of it EVERY time we read it EVERY DAY - then we certainly won't care if our neighbour ever turns to the scriptures, either, amen?
It is written, That man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word of God. Luke
4:4.
If you care about yourself, then you will daily feed on the word of
God!
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are
true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever
things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of
good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think
on these things. Philippians 4:8
If you care about yourself, then you will think on these things!
If you care about yourself, then you will present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
If you care about yourself, then you willbe not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1,2
Only then can you be concerned about 'your
neighbour'!
Don't use your neighbour as an excuse or a
place to hide!
YOU must take care of yourself with the Love
of God!
That doesn't mean books and sermons 'about'
the Love of God...
that means RECEIVING & READING the LOVE
OF GOD!
I wonder if that is a major reason why our public witness and battle is so weak in Christians today - we have allowed ourselves to slip backwards - we have given ourselves over to the world - bit by bit and soon enough, we won't be able to even get ourselves back. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;I Timothy 4:2
If you want your neighbour, your friend, your mom or dad, your husband
or wife, your children and /or a worker buddy (buddyette)
to feed on the word of God, then YOU HAD BETTER BE FEEDING YOURSELF
ALREADY!
Today, we are told that the scriptures tell us to Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; (Matthew 5:44). We are told that we should love those who don't love us (Matthew 5:46). (Note: It also says Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect in verse 48, but I guess they ignore that one, amen?)
And this is where the Bible-hating, Bible-rejecting, Bible-perverting, Bible-denying 'ministers' in America come to a dead end. (I just love how Ruckman puts stuff - I enjoy using his quotes - he says it so well!).
'Unconditional love' - as the world calls it -
is not of God!
John 14:1 - Let
not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Talk about conditions!
John 14:6 -
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by me.
Talk about conditions!
John 6:29 Jesus
answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on
him whom he hath sent.
Talk about conditions!
Romans 10:9
- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Talk about conditions!
Matthew 7:22,23 - Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Yes, our salvation is 'conditional'!
Have you met the conditions?
Romans 16:17 -
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences
contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
II Corinthians 6:14-17
- Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship
hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light
with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath
he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of
God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said,
I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they
shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate,
saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
Ephesians 5:11
- And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather
reprove them.
Colossians 2:18 -
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping
of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed
up by his fleshly mind,
II Thessalonians 3:14,15 - And
if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no
company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy,
but admonish him as a brother.
When we offer the Love of God, the world sees it as 'hate'!
When we truly and properly 'hate', that is actually showing
God's 'love'!
So you see, the liberal can not stand to hear this stuff! Loving
your enemies to a Christ-rejecting "liberal" means "loving those who HATE
the Lord". We are not to compromise with any enemies of the Bible
or enemies of the Body of Christ and we are to have absolutely no fellowship
with any sinner who has not experienced the new birth. (II
Corinthians 6:14-17; Romans 8:1-20; Philippians 3:1-19).
As Christians, FOR ME TO LIVE IS CHRIST, we are not only suppose to just 'walk the walk' and 'talk the talk' so that they 'see Jesus' in our life, but we are to 'walk HIS walk' and 'talk HIS talk' so they 'hear' Jesus, too!
We are to try to introduce our neighbour to 'the church' - the body of Christ! We are to offer to our neighbour, a PERSON! This PERSON has shed His blood - has sacrificed His life - and has words to say!
We are to walk IN HIS BODY - saved and born again and in Christ!
We are to walk IN HIS WALK - imputed with His righteousness
- sanctified and holy!
We are to walk IN HIS WORDS - the King James Bible - the words
of Jesus Christ - inspired, preserved and quick,
and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the
dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and
is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews
4:12
Now, that is God's Love!
When you put on Jesus Christ, do you put on His mouth, too?
Many of you have a decent Christian walk - and many of you are even aware of "HIS" walk - you are learning what imputation and being 'in Christ' means.
And many of you even try to talk about Jesus Christ and His words - BUT... do you talk HIS WORDS! Do you know your scriptures enough to actually 'speak them' - those scriptures are the LOVE OF GOD.
People need to hear those words - not just
about those words1
People today need the Love of God in their
lives1
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee
out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
But my people would not hearken to my voice;
and Israel would none of me.
So I gave them up unto their own hearts'
lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
Oh that my people had hearkened unto me,
and Israel had walked in my ways!
I should soon have subdued their enemies,
and turned my hand against their adversaries.
Psalms 81:10-14
Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold,
I cannot speak: for I am a child.
But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am
a child:
for thou shalt go to all that I shall send
thee,
and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt
speak.
Be not afraid of their faces: for I am
with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched
my mouth.
And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have
put my words in thy mouth.
See, I have this day set thee over the
nations and over the kingdoms,
to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy,
and to throw down,
to build, and to plant.
Jeremiah 1:6-10
DO YOU HAVE THE LOVE OF GOD IN YOUR LIVES?
DO YOU LOVE YOURSELF ENOUGH TO READ YOUR BIBLE?
- DAILY?
or just when you have time, when it interests
you, etc.
It is too bad when folks choose the way of the
world - of the devil - and then when it doesn't go right, they have a tendency
to blame God!
If they would accept the right God and the Love
of that God - things would be different, amen?
