A Closer Look at the Law for Christians

What Do We Have for Others?
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Galatians 5:14

Ok, as we continue in this series called Peter Paul or Mary, we have seen how the law is NOT made void even though we are dead to the law, delivered from the law and are no longer under the law, etc.

We then saw that the purpose of the law has gone from the Old Testament schoolmaster showing us our sin to the new purpose of the law for a Christian - and that is to love thy neighbour as thyself.

So the question here is this:
What do we have that our neighbour needs?

Before we get into this sermon, keep this in mind: the verse says that we are to love our neighbour AS THYSELF! How much do you love yourself? What do you KNOW about yourself that your neighbour should have?

How is YOUR OWN testimony? Does it portray something that your neighbour doesn't have AND something your neighbour should desire to have?

The love we have is to be THE TRUTH - speaking the truth in love! We are to love in "deed AND truth" - not just "word and tongue!"

Folks, we have GRADUATED from the "law of the school master"
to the "law of liberty!"

God has "made us free" to love others by showing them the truth and preaching the truth!

We are to love God first!
We are to love thyself second!
We then love our neighbour third!

Our neighbour is 1) the brethren; 2) the lost!

People already think they have a jesus - a god - a church - a family - money - comfort - a bible, etc. but do they have the real Jesus, the real God, a real church, a truly loving family - God's provisions - true comfort - and the true Bible?

People are seeking comfort these days - but do they know where to truly find it?
Can Christians even find comfort where they are suppose to find it?

In the sermon Comfort of the Scriptures, the following are ways of finding comfort in the King James Bible - knowing that those are the very words of God...

Knowing the written Scriptures are God's own words!	In a good healthy meal!
In studying and rightly dividing the word of truth!	In a good read!
In the specific verses and chapters themselves!	In a good visit!
In the safe path the Scriptures direct us on!	In a good night's sleep!
Knowing we can comfort others with how God comforts us!	In a good bath!
In the simplicity of it all!	In a good fight!
In Scriptural Discipline being the right discipline!	In knowing we can know our eternal destiny!

What more do people want?

Read Matthew 14:34-36 - As many as touched Him were made perfectly whole!
Read Luke 8:43-48 - Only one was healed even thought others were touching Him!

How could that have been? FAITH! So, we need to give others FAITH!

But wait - the gospels are full of faith and if people claim faith, they should be healed, right? WRONG!

Rightly dividing the gospels and today's age of grace, etc. we see that in the OT (including the gospels), people did have to rely on faith - THEIR OWN! Habakkuk 2:4 - The just shall live by HIS faith!

In the NT, past the gospels and Acts, etc. the just shall live by faith; we find out in Galatians 2:16, the faith that we live on today is HIS faith, meaning the faith OF Jesus Christ! See also Romans 5:1,2; Philippians 3:9; Romans 3:22, Galatians 2:20, Galatians 3:22.

So people today need faith - HIS FAITH!
The FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST!

Where do they get it? Romans 10:17, Romans 10:13

How do they hear about it? Romans 10:14,15

They need to want what we have! (Similar to the Jews situation - Romans 10:18,19)

Only the King James People have the opportunity to truly 'receive' the faith from Jesus Himself. The rest are pressing against Him (through pastors, parents, perversions, perverts, psychology, pals) but are not receiving anything because they don't have the faith OF Christ!

The modern folks today have had HIS words taken away from them!
The modern folks today have had HIS faith taken away from them!
The modern folks today have had HIS truth taken away from them!
The modern folks today have had HIS comfort taken away from them!

Unfortunately, modern folks want to see BEFORE they believe! They have been taught that they CAN! They can SEE in the gospel of Peter - they can SEE in the OT Gospel of Mary - they can SEE in the gospel of modern Christianity.

However, God TOOK AWAY anything to SEE until after one is born again!

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

Today, we must believe first, THEN we can see the deep things of God!
John 20:29; I Corinthians 2:9-16. Read them!

God STOPPED all the signs, etc., those things that people want to SEE in order to believe!

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;
whether there be tongues, they shall cease;
whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come,
then that which is in part shall be done away.
I Corinthians 13:8-10

PERFECT means completed when defined within the King James Bible. See II Chronicles 8:16; II Timothy 3:17; Colossians 2:10

Prophecy shall fail...
Tongues shall cease...
Knowledge shall vanish away...

Those were all IN PART...

NOW, the COMPLETED Word of God - that which is perfect HAS COME!

No addition revelation is needed, nor is any 'new' coming!
No signs are needed today, nor are any coming!
No 'new' knowledge is needed from any supernatural prophets, etc...
