Perilous Times are Approaching!
What Should We Do Now?

Even though not yet 'officially' today, we are drawing closer and closer to perilous times!

II Timothy 3:1 - This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come.
II Timothy 3:2-9 - For men shall be...

We see signs, but not signs as in signs and wonders proving true salvation, etc. from the Great Commission crowd.

But we can call them clues!

Jeremiah 25:10 - Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle.
Jeremiah 33:10,11 - Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast, The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.

These things more than prove that we are 'falling away' more and more.

II Thessalonians 2:3-12

No need to try to get too 'into' the depth of it all today!

Daniel 12:9 - And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
You will find yourself teaching a fear of God that Paul doesn't teach!

Today, the goodness of God; tomorrow, the judgment of God!

Romans 2:3,4

You could get mixed up with 'rapture' verses and 'second coming' verses.
You could get caught up in modern Christianity messes - including the 'trends' that the KJB'ers are getting into along with everyone else.

Basically - leaving God's word / words rightly divided!

That is what apostasy is - everyone seems to be falling away.

But at least we know WE won't be here for those perilous times!

I Thessalonians 1:10 - And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
Romans 5:9 - Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

But as those perilous times are approaching, what should we do?

I. Do the work of an evangelist

II Timothy 4:5
Building churches and programs, etc. is not what God would have us do these days.
Evangelists 'tell'.

Pastors should preach while they teach and teach while they preach!

Ephesians 4:11

All of us can tell and show what Paul says and means!

We can all do the work of an evangelist!

II. Separate

II Timothy 3:5c
people who do not preach and walk with Paul...

Have no company with
avoid
turn away
withdraw from
neither give heed to...

Why? These people speak:

great swelling words of vanity
good words and fair speeches deceive the simple
enticing words
vain words
sleight of men
cunning craftiness

devil is an angel of light

his ministers are ministers of righteousness

mark them that cause division and offences contrary to Paul
beware...

III. Foolish and unlearned questions avoid - they just cause strife and are unfruitful

Stop their mouths within your own home and life

IV. Hear preaching and teaching of the Bible - the Scriptures

Anything wrongly divided, we should shun!

IX. Speak, exhort and rebuke specific Scriptural things

X. Be not ashamed of the risen Christ and of Paul!

XI. Hold fast Paul's words

XII. Understand that living godly will be difficult!

II Timothy 3:12

XIII. Trust the King James Bible to be God's mouth today!
