Introduction
But ask now ... the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
Job 12:7

We are going to do some 'bird study' for a few weeks.  What can a Bible study on birds teach us?  We will see!  Even though these sermons will be geared for our children, I am certain that we adults can also receive some wisdom from these birds.

Part I
But ask now ... the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
Job 12:7

Tonight, we learn some facts about a few of our Audubon 'squeezy' birds from the kids (on video only) - then we see some wisdom available to us all from the wisdom of Solomon as he writes about birds in Proverbs.  We learn a great lesson about the nets that are being set for the world to catch our kids - and the shame of parents who actually allow their children to be netted, etc.  We know that there are even parents that force their kids to go into the net.  I hope this short sermon helps parents with very young kids... because if they get caught in the trap, few ever want out again - and the parents can not get them out; the young adults must get out of the snare themselves.  (Video watchers - the sound comes on after one minute into the beginning)

We will do a fast overlook of a few of the kings that did a pretty lousy job, actually.  Things today sure don't seem any better, eh!  Well, of course not - they continue to reject God's words.  And today, they could sure learn from us Gentiles and the Church of God - and some day they will have their final opportunity.  Until then, we will take a quick look at some kings before we look next week at the best and worst of the Kings.

Tonight, we hear more bird facts from our kids to add to our knowledge of birds - and then we will look again at Solomon's wisdom from his birds.  This may appear to be a 'kids' sermon session, but believe me, the wisdom we are able to consider is truly directed at parents and adults.

Tonight, we hear more bird facts from our kids to add to our knowledge of birds - and then we will look again at Solomon's wisdom from his birds.  This time along with learning about a parent's 'tough love' from a momma wood duck, we also consider Proverbs 26:2 - As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

From having a terrible father to being the greatest king - and then to have a son who is considered to be the worst king.  What takes place in Hezekiah's reign that we can learn from?  Here are some thoughts!

Tonight, we look at a few famous birds of the Bible;  Job's bird; Ezekiel and his eagles; the bird that, in the end, gets all the worlds riches; Noah's two birds; Elijah's bird; and the birds that will be at the Supper of the Great God, etc.
