The Rest of the Story
Part II
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
II Timothy 3:7
Premise: I believe that we are not telling the "whole story" of Jesus Christ!

So, let's look at the:
Rest of The Story about Jesus Christ!

...the parts of the story that some folks know, what more  folks know and then what the rest of the story is,
the part that most folks don't know or hear anymore from their pulpits.

WHAT MOST HAVE HEARD!
MORE OF THE STORY!
THE REST OF THE STORY!
Old Testament Prophecies

Only some have heard that the prophecies are 100% accurate and most of those folks have either forgotten or just do not believe them.

If they did believe, they would not only see that the Scriptures prove Jesus Christ was their Messiah, but it also would prove the King James Bible to be the Holy Scriptures!

The Obvious OT references

The details of His birth place & his death, His lineage, etc.

Over 300 prophecies of the very same Jesus Christ coming to be the Messiah!

His active involvement in Daniel 3:25

His death details in Isaiah 53

As our Shepherd in Psalm 23

His Personal Prophecy!
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Jeremiah 22:30  Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.

His Place in the Old Testament as the Angel of the Lord!
For references to the 'appearing of God' in the Old Testament, that would have to have been Jesus Christ as the angel of the Lord and even when the angel of the Lord is not mentioned, because Jesus Christ is the appearance of God, thebrightness of his glory, and the express image of his person Hebrews 1:3

A few examples:
  • Jacob wrestled with Jesus!  Genesis 32:24-30
  • Moses saw Jesus in Exodus 23:20-23 and all along the journey!
  • Joshua saw Jesus in Joshua 5:13-15
  • Manoah and his wife saw Jesus Judges 13:15-20
His pain at the Crucifixion!
Psalm 22

His private prayer during the crucifixion!
Psalm 109, even though he opened not his mouth, his thinker was working hard & strong - telling the Devil that his day will come!

His presence during the garden scene!
Genesis 2:26 (Let us make man in our image...); 3:22 (Behold, the man has become as one of us)

His Personal Worship!
Psalm 68:4 ...extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH...

His 'part' in Creation!
John 1:1-3  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Colossians 1:16,17  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, dominions, or principalities, or powers; all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

New Testament
There are the only too obvious places where Jesus Christ existed on the earth in all four of the Gospels...

...and that is about all most people read, if they read the Bible at all...

...and that is also all the places today's pastors, pastorettes, reverends and reverendettes and teachers preach and teach from, if they preach at all - the Gospels along with Acts!

The Gospels are actually still
part of the Old Testament?

For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. Hebrews 9:16,17

So we have to look at the Gospels like unto the Old Testament.

Jesus Christ had not died yet, thus the specific four Gospels are not written TO us, only FOR us.

We do not get NT doctrine from the Gospels - only Millennial application.

The Gospels are what WE will be telling folks as we rule and reign with Christ, just as He would have done then had they not killed Him!

In the New Testament past the Gospels:
  • Paul saw Jesus Christ face to face!
  • It was Jesus Christ opened the prison doors and helped Peter escape from prison!
  • It was Jesus Christ who killed Herod when he wouldn't give God the glory! Acts 12:23
  • He is the Rock in Matthew, not Peter.
  • Jesus is the mighty angel in Revelation 10 who takes credit for the two witnesses in Revelation 11.
  • Pastors today try to show why we should be obey the teachings of Revelation 14 - but that is a false gospel application as it is for the tribulation, not the church age.
His Birth
Christmas gives His birth enough publicity to most folks - although Christ is being kept out of the public eye more and more each season.
His Birthday Celebration - Christmas
After doing just a little study, one finds out that Jesus Christ and Christmas have absolutely nothing in common, not even the manger scene!

NOTHING!

  • When Christ was born, many children were killed - people tend to ignore that one on Christmas card covers and christmas songs!
  • Christmas is actually a type of joyous celebration in Revelation 11 when gifts were given when the two witnesses are killed during the tribulation.
  • God and birthdays just don't mix period!  See Ecc 7:1 - the day of one's death is better than the day of one's birth!
  • Santa is a total type of Anti-Christ and fits all the characteristics of Jesus CHrist except one - he is a fake and Jesus Christ is not!
  • Christmas is actually a doctrine of devils warned about in I Timothy 4:1
  • The star in the east is more actively used in Masonic worship as the Eastern Star!
  • Angels didn't "sing," they said, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." and that bit of truth has a profound effect of music study in the Bible.
  • "Good will toward men" is changed to "men of good will" in today's modern bible perversions showing a works salvation - totally against Romans 4:5But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
  • Jesus is no longer a baby - see Revelation 19!
His Miracles
His specific miracles are well known, as are the miracles of the apostles.
Miracles Today:
Of course, God can make any miracle He so chooses to happen in any dispensation He wants - He is God...

...but in a doctrinal status, miracles, signs, visions &  wonders were only a sign for the Jews - so with the Jews being 'shelved' and 'blinded' since Acts 2; 13; 18; 28, then these signs are NOT for our church age dispensation today!

God can heal today, but He does not use any 'person - healer' to make it happen!

  • None of His miracles involved making alcoholic wine!
  • Any miracles, visions, sign and/or wonders today are totally of the devil and are part of the deception in preparing for the anti-christ!  See Revelation 16:13,14; 19:20; Matt 24:23,24; II Thess 2:9,10; John 4:48; Acts 2:43
  • These miracles, etc will return during the Tribulation as trickery from the devil, but are NOT for the church age today.  See II Thes 2:9,10
  • In spite of the obvious working of many ot the miracles and visions, these signs are NOT from God today!
  • II Peter 1:16-21 shows the preeminent and final authority the written Scriptures have over any vision or 'experience.
  • The crowd preaching miracles and healings today are to be considered the tares among the wheat and someday God will separate those two groups - one to the barn and one the fire below the barn!  See Matthew 13
His Teachings
Most folks know only of his teachings in the Gospels.   The Beatitudes, for example, are looked upon as Christian Doctrine for this day.
Improper Application of Teachings
Remember, His specific teachings were when He was on the earth offering Himself to be their Messiah.

The Gospels would have been the new 'lifestyle' of the Jews if they had not killed Him.

They killed Him and He rose to come back after the Tribulation; THEN that will be when His Gospel 'constitution' will take affect, as He originally taught in the Gospels!

Faith will be no longer available as He will be there with them, so faith will not exist!

  • The classic miss-teachings & misapplications of modern Christianity result in a confused Christianity, and God is not the author of confusion! I Corinthians 14:33
  • Confusion Examples: Children of God in Matthew 5:9 vs Galatians 3:26   and about judging in Matthew 7:1 vs I Corinthians 2:15
  • In His teaching, Jesus was not 'always nice' to folks, including His disciples.  He knew how to rebuke and reprove when needed; as well as correct and instruct! Mark 8:13-21 People today can't take it! II Tim 4:3,4
  • Many disciples left Him after a simple sermon (John 6:51-66) - thus creating the support for the Catholic Church to this day!
  • People HATE His teachings when taught word for word because of the "final" authority they represent!
  • Contrary to the modern "God gives you an abundant life cuz He loves you," stuff, the Disciples DID live a rough life of suffering while living a godly walk!
  • We also will have that life of sacrifice if we actually deny ourselves daily to obey His teachings out of a return love and thankfulness to Him!
  • We will be treated like Christ was treated if we preach and teach HIS words 'exactly' as God preserved them to this generation and others to follow!  Psalm 12:6,7
  • Finally - remember He updated & gave His 'teachings' to Paul - and that is the stuff we go by!
His Words
Many see 'His" spoken words only in the Gospels and even at that, they don't believe they are His actual words!

These folks have a religion!

These folks have those fancy red lettered bibles that claim to have His words in red, thus keeping people from knowing about the words of the Lord being more than just the Gospels and Book of Revelation!!

There are certainly far more of his words  in that Bible than just in the Gospels and Revelation.

There are those who think His words are only inspired and preserved in the non-existent 'originals'!

So they have to lean to the Greek in order to be considered the 'pope' & 'authority' of their church!

These folks believe that any bible is a bible, so they own whatever bible they like and only for informational purposes, knowing 'of course' that man has tarnished the perfect truth!

They believe that God will show them truth through their inner feelings and circumstances!

His words are still available and must be taught - I Timothy 6:3-5 - otherwise God has some strong adjectives for those who don't teach the very words of Jesus Christ!

We are moving ahead closer and closer to Amos 8:11-13 - a famine of the hearing of the words of the LORD.

II Corinthians 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

I Peter 1:23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. on the King James Bible being the only inspired and preserved words of the Lord - and the only book that is considered the sword of the spirit for salvation - all the rest are of the spirit of anti-christ that produce imitation Christians with an imitation salvation!  I John 4:1-3, Hebrews 4:12; Ephesians 6:17; Colossians 1:11-13; I Thess 2:13, etc.

His words are written down for us to study and to rightly divide!
I John 1:4  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
I John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

His Death & Resurrection
Here comes another 'holy day' to modern Christians - called Easter - with all their little eggs hanging on trees and easter egg hunts and traditions - none of which have even any slight Scriptural truth to them!
The Easter traditions can actually be proven to be of the devil's doctrine!

The traditional scriptural details of the time allotted for the events surrounding His death do not match with any Biblical Truth.

The involvement and necessity of the Blood of Christ is pretty much ignored these days.  In fact, one major 'new' teaching is that the death is what was important, not the blood being shed - of course that is contrary to Scripture!

I John 1:7; Hebrews 10:19; Colossians 1:20; Colossians 1:14; Ephesians 1:7; Ephesians 2:13; Romans 5:9

Contrary to what many would rather believe, Christ did go to Hell!  Ephesians 4:9,10; Acts 2:27-32; Matthew 12:40; Psalm 16:10; Jonah 2:6!

He had to purge our sins - Hebrews 1:3; Isaiah 6:7; Matthew 3:12

We know that when He rose from the dead, He also went to His Father and then back down, then He made his 'official' departure.
John 20:16,17; Matthew 28:9
Why so?  To make the payment of His blood! Hebrews 9:12-14

The scriptures are clear that we also must live not only a crucified life, we must eventually put away childish things so that we can live a risen life - all to HIS GLORY!

Forgiveness
People know they want forgiveness - so they think they can get it from knowing about God's grace, or by being water baptized according to Acts 2:38.
However, forgiveness is not what we need today - we need to be washed!

Acts 2:38 is a false application for these days.  Remission is not clean enough!  Washing is salvation! Remission is Old Testament, Washing by the blood of the Lamb is New Testament!

Imputation & Spiritual circumcision is necessary to understand in order to see that we don't even need forgiveness, in regards to our relationship with the Lord as we can still quench and grieve the Spirit.

Eternal Security is a marvelous doctrine and can be based totally on the WRITTEN scriptures!

His Coming Back
Folks do tend to believe the Jesus is coming back - mostly because they may have read it at the end of Luke, if they have read anything, anyway.

Some believe He will not return until things are cleaned up!

Some believe we are in the final product now.

Some believe this is the tribulation now.

We also know that in the modern Bibles, Luke 24:51 doesn't say that He was carried up into heaven, signifying the deity of Christ, so modern Bibles corrupt and dispute Jesus even coming back!

There are some Christians who are still aware of the Rapture, although fewer and fewer are believing it anymore.

Sadly enough, most Christians are more interested in their disappearing than they are of His appearing!

Others are fearfully looking for the anti-Christ instead of the King of Kings!

We not only know of HIS return in Rev 19, while we know that the lost folks, whether they call themselves Christian or not, will be looking for Him to come in Revelation 6.

You can hear it all being prepared now in the news as the catholics are even looking for him to come now.

We even know who is coming with him, US!
Revelation 19:14

We even know His 'attitude' when He arrives.  It will be dinner time for the fowls of the air!  Also see Psalm 149:6-9; II Thess 1:7-10; Revelation 19:17,18

His Judgment
Christians figure on some kind of judgment where they can hopefully tell God how sincere they have been - or how good they have been, well, at least how much money they gave to over come their badness.
There are some who know that Jesus Christ is the judge at the final judgments, as there are scriptures that do say so.  John 5:22  For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: But not many realize that this very book will be our judge, whether we be Christians or not!
John 12:48  He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Hebrews 4:12,13 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

We also know that there are actually 7 judgments and we know who they are all for and how they work!

a.  sin at calvary - for lost to get saved!
b.  daily self-judgment through the book and the Holy Spirit for the Christian
c.  Israel during the Tribulation
d.  the Nations at the advent
e.  the works of Christians at the Judgment Seat of Christ
f.  The lost world at the White Throne - from out of the frying pan right into the fire!
g.  Angels - the sons of God from the Old Testament!

We also know a few of the details of the White Throne Judgment that we will be 'watching.'  Daniel 7:9-11+.

The Tribulation
Some folks actually think we are in the Tribulation today.

But if one would read the scriptures, one would see that things are not that bad yet, amen?  amen!

Then we get the arguments about if there is going to be a tribulation or not - even though the scriptures are pretty plain about it all.

The teaching of a false salvation is prevalent today in modern Christianity in regards to salvation during the Tribulation.

We see God's attitude and actions in regards to the Tribulation in Proverbs 1:24-33.

We see true salvation during the Tribulation in Revelation 14.

We see in Jeremiah what God will be taking away during the Tribulation:

His mercies!
His peace!
His loving kindness!
the voice of mirth!
The voice of gladness!
The voice of the bridegroom!
The voice of the bride!
The sound of the millstones!
The light of the candle!

We see what God will allow everyone to have during the Tribulation!  God will give them what they want!  Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. Proverbs 1:31

The Millennial Reign
This is a pretty strange concept for most people.

They really don't realize that this time will be truly a physical time with real people, etc.

But the curse will be gone and the devil will be locked up  - thus showing our own true nature!

For those who do believe in the Millennium, they usually still don't understand their role, or if they will even have one or not.

Many are trying to live the lifestyle of the Millennium now.

They expect God to give them their REST now - in spite of the Scripture showing otherwise!

They think we should be eating like they will be eating in the Millennium - for your own health purposes now and that it is a sin today to not eat like the Millennium will be then!

We know WE will be the new mansion ourselves and that it is not some 'house' or 'apartment' quarters or 'rooms.'

We know the 'Millennial Constitution' is available to read today by reading the Gospels in the KJV!

We know that we will be glorified as He is!
I John 3:2

Yet, we know that our light will be determined how we sacrificed & suffered down here for Christ and how we received for what wrong we did here on earth today!
Colossians 3:24,25

We know that we will be ruling & reigning with Christ, all dependent on how we sacrificed & suffered down here for Christ.
II Timothy 2:12  If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

CONCLUSION
CONCLUSION
CONCLUSION
These people claim a religion and have no final authority in their lives!

These folks have no clue
as to the true story of Jesus!

They most definitely have another Jesus, if they even claim a Jesus at all, anyway!
These people claim any bible and church, etc. but nobody as their final authority but themselves and God's inner guidance.

These folks do know some
of the story of Jesus!

Yet, these folks could very well be indwelt with the spirit of anti-christ!
These people claim the King James Bible as their final authority & example in all matters of faith and practice !

These folks know...
...the Rest of the Story

If these folks do truly know the rest of the story, then Holy Spirit has taught it to them!

And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY
Refrain
I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true;
It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.
I love to tell the story; ’tis pleasant to repeat
What seems, each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet.
I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word.
I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems
Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams.
I love to tell the story, it did so much for me;
And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee.
I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.
And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song,
’Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.

TELL ME THE OLD OLD STORY
Refrain:
Tell me the old, old story, Tell me the old, old, story,
Tell me the old, old story of Jesus and His love.
Tell me the old, old story of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love.
Tell me the story simply, as to a little child,
for I am weak and weary and helpless, and defiled.
Tell me the story softly, with earnest tones and grave;
Remember, I'm the sinner whom Jesus came to save,
Tell me the story always if you would really be,
in any time of trouble, a comforter to me.
Tell me the story slowly that I may take it in,
That wonderful redemption, God's remedy for sin.
Tell me the story often, for I forget so soon;
The early dew of morning has passed away at noon.
Tell me the same old story when you have cause to fear
That this world's empty glory is calling me too dear;
Yes, and when that world's glory is dawning on my soul,
Tell me the old, old story: "Christ Jesus makes thee whole."
TELL ME THE STORY OF JESUS
Refrain
Tell me the story of Jesus, Write on my heart every word,
Tell me the story most precious, Sweetest that ever was heard.
Tell me the story of Jesus,
Write on my heart every word,
Tell me the story most precious
Sweetest that ever was heard;
Tell how the angels, in chorus,
Sang as they welcomed His birth,
Glory to God in the highest,
Peace and good tidings to earth.
Fasting, alone in the desert,
Tell of the days that He passed,
How for our sins He was tempted,
Yet was triumphant at last;
Tell of the years of His labor,
Tell of the sorrow He bore,
He was despised and afflicted,
Homeless, rejected, and poor.
Tell of the cross where they nailed Him,
Writhing in anguish and pain;
Tell of the grave where they laid Him,
Tell how He liveth again;
Love in that story so tender,
Clearer than ever I see;
Stay, let me weep while you whisper,
Love paid the ransom for me.
